Insurance FAQ
In the following information you will find answers to several of the most frequently asked questions about being a provider in our Managed Care Network. What is credentialing?
Credentialing
is an integral process of the Managed Care
Agreement because it allows managed care networks
to verify that participating providers meet
established levels of competence and quality
before servicing its members. Credentialing
is accomplished through a continuous review
of the network providers' credentials and approval
of credentials by a Certified Verification
Organization. In a two door state, how can I begin billing insurance?
To support our doctor partners in two door states, we are recommending the services of VisionWeb. If one of your concerns about insurance is how do I get eligibility? How do I file claims? Then, VisionWeb can help with these concerns. There is Vision Web information enclosed within the Managed Care Packet. Does the Managed Care Agreement automatically enroll me in the vision plans?
No, the Managed Care Agreement does not automatically enroll the Doctor Partner in every plan. Upon signing the Managed Care Agreement, the doctor must complete applications where applicable. Can the doctor partner become exempt from certain insurance plans?
No, by signing the Managed Care Agreement you are agreeing to accept all plans that Wal-Mart currently accepts and plans that are signed going forward that meet the guidelines outlined in the agreement.
